Beans and pulse are an excellent source of vitamins, such as Protein, Calcium, Potassium and Iron. Plus B vitamins. It is widely believed that humans first ate and cultivated Lentils. Part of the Legume family They are a very cheap source of food but dried beans should never be eaten raw as they contain poisons until cooked. Some pulses can be sprouted i.e. mung beans, adzuki beans, alfalfa sprouts, bean sprouts and many others. We have a wide range of beans and pulses on this shelf, some of which are organic.
