This olive oil is so good - it actually tastes of olives, and is much more akin to the oil you get in the med, than the weird neutral stuff you get here. If you haven't had this sort of olive oil before it is different, but try it - you'll probably like it!

My favourite olive oil. Pure, unrefined, raw, and economical. For a really simple introduction, just buy 2 Portobello mushrooms, wash and dry. Marinade in 2 tbsp olive oil and 2 tbsp Biona apple cider vinegar (or your own personal favourite). Leave for at least an hour and use in salads, pasta dishes - or however you like really. Tip: Buy the largest bottle of this beautiful oil - you won't regret it.

Pan Fried Shredded Carrots and Courgettes - Sat 30th May 2015

Coarsely grate/shred 1 carrot and 2 courgettes. Heat 2 tsp olive oil, add shredded vegetables and season with salt and pepper. Cover and leave to cook 2-3 mins until 'al dente'. Do not overcook.

Tip into a serving bowl and sprinkle with chopped fresh tarragon.

This method is ideal for getting maximum taste and maximum nutrition from your vegetables.

Classic, traditional brand that produces consistent oil - well rounded and suitable for drizzling, deep frying or even baking. The bigger bottle is better value and great to have in the cupboard.

Roast Aubergine - Tue 4th Feb 2014

Pre heat oven to 200 degrees centigrade

2 - 3 small Aubergines.

3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.

Juice of a large lemon.

2 tablespoons of tamari.

1 handful of sultanas.

About 20 fresh mint leaves.

Cut the Aubergine into quarters and place in a small roasting dish.

Scatter over the sultanas and mint leaves.

Pour over the lemon juice, oil and tamari.

Mix well.

Roast in the oven for about 40 minutes, or until very tender.

Serve as a side dish hot or cold. Great with crusty bread and a salad.

Think they must use ripe olives for this oil, it so good, not all olive oil has such a delicious taste, I like it just as it is with a pinch of salt and some home made bread for dipping.

I've been spooning olive oil onto my crispy hot toast instead of butter for months now, and it tastes lovely! It has fewer calories because you can't spread thickly like butter, but note butter itself is quite healthy.
