Really impressed with these. Was a bit unsure at first as after cooking they looked quite dark almost a bit burnt looking however they were absolutely delicious.

Versatile and tasty - Sat 7th Nov 2015

It's hard to find this product in my local health food stores, so thumbs up to Goodness Direct for stocking it. It's a surprise to me that the shops don't have it in much as it's a really tasty product. I wonder if using 'Meatballs' in the product name psychologically puts vegans and vegetarians off? I've tried supermarket's versions of these and I don't think they're anywhere as good. The taste and texture of Vbites is far superior. I tend to find that supermarkets try to emulate meat when devising vegetarian foodstuff, and end up with a hard, dense product- I'm certainly not the only vegetarian I know that doesn't really like what they come with. I suspect that Vbites are vegetarians/vegans inventing recipes for vegetarians/vegans to enjoy, whereas supermarkets are meat eaters trying to invent food they think vegetarians/vegans will buy. My favourite way to cook Vbites Meat Free Balls is in a shallow casserole dish (no need to pre cook) smothered in a rich home-made herby gravy with sautéed onions, tomatoes and mushroom, and served with mashed potatoes and steamed green veg (sometimes mashed swede too)- perfect comfort food for the cold dark nights. When I talk to friends who are vegetarian/vegan about foods we miss, one of the things that comes up is faggots, and cooking Vbites Meat Free Balls this way fills that longing nicely.

Wow! Vegan Meatballs! - Thu 8th Oct 2015

I have been waiting YEARS for someone to come up with veggie 'meat'balls without the egg - and Vbites have done it. And how! These are dead easy to cook, extremely flavoursome and ever so more-ish! Although they might seem a tad expensive, you get a lot in a pack - easily enough for two meals so actually not bad value for money. And if you're in a hurry and can't be bothered to make a decent tomato sauce to accompany them, I find a heated tin of chopped tomatoes poured over the 'meat'balls makes for a perfectly good quick 'sauce', as there is so much flavour already in the 'meat'balls. These have become a staple in my vegan diet. Excellent!

These taste lovely and very filling. Great in a tomato pasta sauce with spaghetti. Also tried them with chips and vegan gravy. Very yummy!

Great! - Wed 5th Nov 2014

These vegan meat-free meat balls are great, they hold their shape, unlike some meat alternatives. They are also quote versatile and can be used in a number of recipes, or even heated up just to snack on!

Quite moorish - Tue 8th Apr 2014

Meatballs are something I never had much of before I was vegan but these are really nice and soak up sauce really well - obviously great with spaghetti but also nice as starter with dipping sauces/condiments.

Great added to a pasta sauce, perfect Vegan alternative.

- Thu 4th Jul 2013

My daughter loves these with pasta. They are healthy and perfect even on their own. I found though that they burn very easily and it's worth taking 2-3 minutes off the recommended cooking time.

- Tue 2nd Apr 2013

These are good vegan additions to pasta dishes, though I find them a bit more flavoursome when quickly fried in soy sauce.
