If you are needing to avoid eggs in your diet because you are allergic to them or because you are a vegan, then Orgran No Egg is for you. You can use No Egg to replace both whole eggs or egg whites in cooking and baking. So No Egg is great for making Egg-free cakes, meringues, sauces and custard. No Egg is not so great for scrambled egg or omelettes, but otherwise it really is a fantastic, no cholesterol, replacement.


For 1 whole egg, add 1 teaspoon of No Egg to 2 tablespoons of water. In place of egg whites, substitute 1 heaped teaspoon with 1 tablespoon of water. Other liquids including milk, fruit juice or vegetable juice may be used in place of water.


Potato starch, tapioca flour, calcium carbonate, citric acid, vegetable gum (stabaliser): methylcellulose.

A great product to have in stock for replacing eggs in many different recipes, and only a little of it is required to substitute one egg. Orgran are a wonderful company for vegans!

This product works really well, I've added it to pancakes, cakes and basically any recipe which requires egg. Was a bit dubious about it at first, but not now. Another good price from Goodness Direct too as an extra bonus. Also the packet seems to last forever, very good value for money.

I usually make a Vegan sponge with the oil, cider vinegar method but I added some of this instead of the eggs in a 'normal' Victoria sponge recipe (with dairy free marg) and it turned out great. Very handy for when you want to make a cake at short notice and don't have many ingredients. Also has a good shelf life.

This is particularly great for people just starting out in egg free cooking, before they learn how to cook without eggs or egg replacers. However, for recipes that rely heavily on eggs and 'fluffiness' this is the best egg replacer I've used and it lasts a long time with a little going a long way. It also doesn't sacrifice on taste so it's an excellent alternative.

Whether you're a vegan or have just run out of eggs, Orgran No Egg is an essential cupboard ingredient. I use them in baking and cooking and I've always been happy with the results.

I used this in my school cooking class to make some excellent pancakes, and they turned out brilliant, all the while impressing my teacher because I'd found a good egg substitute. When making the pancake I also included Banana(in the pancake mixture) and a coconut/sugar sauce solution with papaya (Sugar rush!), and they turned out brilliantly. Definitely recommend for anyone who has an allergy to egg and cannot find another replacer(like me). Also made some cakes with them, and was told they weren't far from tasting like egg-included cakes. All in all I give it 5 stars.
