I used this to make an alternative to risotto - wasn't quite the same, but tasted OK!

- Tue 10th May 2016

Easy to use with clear instructions on the packet. Surprisingly tasty!

Delicious - Thu 3rd Sep 2015

These are a delicious alternative to rice and quinoa, easy to cook in around 10 minutes. I love them in cold summer salads.

- Fri 7th Aug 2015

I sprout this all the time and make raw buckwheat biscuits, crackers and buckwheaties.
For great recipes, see Kate Magic's books.

Lovey - Sun 17th May 2015

I originally visited this site for this product as I could't find any in any of the high street retailers but found it no problem on this website. Product arrived the very next day!

Great buckwheat. A really good filler for soup

- Fri 31st Jan 2014

Wonderful buckwheat, cooked or sprouted it tastes nutty and delicious, great as a breakfast, lunch or dinner, everyone should try this, it's easy to cook and sprout and full of nutrients. This is the only make I buy as it is always good quality and clean.

Great and fresh product at a good price. Very easy to cook too. Tastes wonderful with cinnamon and nutmeg for a breakfast cereal. Also very nice with Cumin as a side for salads etc.

fresh subtle taste - Thu 6th Jun 2013

It has a very subtle fresh taste and is quite light in body - very easy and quick to cook - in this sense it doesn't overtake in terms of flavour or texture. I put this in to cook with rice and other grains for an easy healthy and good tasting mix.

- Sun 2nd Sep 2012

This is great quality buckwheat at a great price with a delicious nutty flavour and so easy to use. I love it in a buckwheat and lentil bake.

gluten-free and great for sprouting and cooking - Tue 3rd Jul 2012

I love buckwheat, so I might be a little biased with this review. ;D This buckwheat is raw (untoasted), so you can sprout it and eat it raw or cook it after sprouting to make it more digestible. I also love to cook this and eat it with cooked cabbage. You can also use it in varnishkes -- cook buckwheat and pasta (traditionally, bow-tie noodles are used) separately. Then fry cabbage, shredded carrot, onion, and mushrooms in oil and add a little salt and pepper. Stir in the cooked buckwheat and pasta and serve. It's so good!!

- Thu 5th Jan 2012

Buckwheat is a great gluten-free 'cereal-grain', though it's actually a fruit seed, great to use as a porridge alternative or grind-down to use a gluten-free flour. Very nutritious.

a super grain - Mon 4th Apr 2011

Raw buckwheat is somewhat lighter in texture and in taste than roasted buckwheat, it makes lovely soups or side dishes. Highly recommended, really warming for colder days.

- Sun 8th Aug 2010

Good quality, easy sprouting grain, great for raw granola/ buckwheaties or for raw breads.

Raw buckwheat - Mon 8th Dec 2014

Really nice soaked and eaten raw. Soak for a couple of hours, give it a good rinse. Nice mixed with avocado, tomato, tofu and some seeds. A firm texture and very filling.

- Mon 9th Dec 2013

I use buckwheat as an alternative to standard breakfast grains. Soak for 24 hours and rinse well as it is mucilaginous - gloopy! Cooked over a slow heat for up to 30 mins and lightly spiced it makes a change from oats. Warming and robust in the colder months.
