Peppermint oil is traditionally well thought of to aid digestion and recently has been named as helpful in easing the symptoms of IBS.

Peppermint as a digestive aid is the reason why we get so many after dinner mints. Peppermint oil relaxes our tummy muscles and so can help with the relief of cramps and stomach spasms.
Peppermint is a humble but favourite herb in the UK used in it's mild form to flavour chocolate, ice cream, toothpaste and chewing gum. Peppermint oil now is available as a potent oil in liquid or capsule form or as a powder to enable you to use as a supplement or add to food.

If you are taking the peppermint oil capsules swallow the capsules whole so the oil gets to your stomach. The peppermint oil in the capsules is strong and concentrated, don't chew at all, just swallow whole.
