Chickens are reared and slaughtered on a local farm (to the heart of Wales). All chickens are allowed to Free-Range in pastures. We offer a choice of Soil Association certified Organic, or Additive-free. Additive-free birds are fed on conventionally grown grain, whilst organic birds are fed organically grown grain and managed to organic standards. This difference makes the additive-free birds less expensive. All poultry are fed non-genetically modified food-stuffs.

Birds are reared in small groups of up to 300 on a small local, family farm, which has been growing chickens for over 40 years. The birds are reared from day-old and reared their entire lives on the farm with access to pasture once they are old enough to forage safely. The process of slaughter is carried out on the farm with the minimum of stress, within a few minutes of their regular surroundings.
