Sparkling wine should be served chilled. Take care when removing the cork as the pressure can force the cork to shoot out unexpectedly.
Almost all sparkling wine is ready to drink when released and in most cases should be consumed within two years of release.
Older sparkling wine typically has less sparkle, a softer texture, and muted flavours.
Store bottles in a cool dark place on their sides in order to keep the cork moist.
