Product Details

Tryptophan is the least common of the 8 essential amino acids (the ones which we cannot produce within our bodies ourselves, and so need to be included in the diet as they are needed within the body to make more complex molecules) About 90% of Tryptophan goes toward protein synthesis, but an essential 3% is converted into the neurotransmitter serotonin. Serotonin deficiency is associated with low moods and illnesses such as depression, insomnia, migranes and tension headaches as well as fibromyalgia. Supplementing the diet with L-Tryptophan has been shown to be helpful in the treatment of these conditions.
Viridian uses exclusively L-Tryptophan which meets the criteria laid out in European Pharmacopeia.

Recommended Dosage

As a food supplement, take one capsule daily with food, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

Ingredients

One vegetarian capsule provides: L-Tryptophan (EP grade) 220mg. In a base of alfalfa, spirulina and bilberry. Vegetarian cellulose capsule 100mg.

Cautions

Keep out of sight and reach of children. Store in a cool dry place. Do not exceed stated dose, unless recommended by your health professional. Not to be used as a substitute for a varied diet.
