I can't comment on how this compares with other laundry bleaches or products with optical whiteners, as I've always avoided them...but we use it all the time as a prewash soak for white bedding that regularly gets fruit juice/chocolate etc dropped all down it, and while it doesn't necessarily get every stain out first time, the whites are left lovely and crisp looking, without any yellowing at all...my husband uses it for all his white shirts, and he's very pleased...and where I think it really stands out, is as a general laundry 'sanitiser' (I recently soaked a top that had been forgotten, crumpled wet and smelling foul, and that I'd all but given up on - and this bleach brought it out pristine and fresh). I think I remember seeing that its single mineral ingredient is used in smaller quantities in much more expensive products, and I don't imagine they're half as effective !

I have been converted to all the products in the Ecover range and found them all excellent. I used the bleach on my old towels and they came out the wash looking refreshed and spotlessly clean. And with no nasty bleach smell and far better for the enviroment and my septic tank!
