A Herbal Rememdy traditionally used for alleviation of the fever and discomforts of colds, chills & sore throats

Recommended Dosage

Adults (all ages): Take two 5ml teaspoonfuls in a third of a cup of warm water three times a day.
Children over five: Take half the adult dose. This is a hot medicine.

Ingredients

Liquid extract bayberry bark (1:1 30% alcohol) 0.05ml; liquid extract hemlock spruce (1:1, 37% alcohol) 0.1ml; liquid extract elder flowers (1:1, 21% alcohol) 0.1ml peppermint oil BP 0.005ml, cassia oil, pimento oil, clove oil, stronger capsicum tincture, strong ginger tincture, capsicum oleoresin, benzoic acid, rectified spirit, syrup, acacia, cochineal, beetroot, caramel and water.

Cautions

Ask your doctor before taking this product if you have reacted badly to any of the ingredients. Avoid in early pregnancy. It may be wise to restrict use to after feeds.
Warning this product contains 5% vol of ethanol and each dose contains upto 1.2g of alcohol.

Other Information

Bayberry bark and hemlock spruce are astringent. Elder flowers reduce catarrh, are expectorant and slightly active against microbes. Peppermint is active against microbes. All the ingredients are stimulant and encourage perspiration.
