Sea Buckthorn is rich in essential fatty acids (omega 7) it is very effective in maintaining the health of the mucous membranes including in the vaginal tract. It is a natural supplement from the berries of the sea buckthorn plant. A shrub originating in the Himalayas. Helps to maintain healthy mucous membranes, which form the linings of the genital, respiratory and digestive tracts

Recommended Dosage

Two capsules twice a day with food and drink during the first two months, one capsule twice a day thereafter.

Ingredients

Seabuckthorn oil 499.75mg of which seabuckthorn seed oil 30-40%, seabuckthorn berry oil 60-70%, vit E (d-alpha tocopherol acetate) 2mg, saturated fatty acids 130mg, mono- unsaturated fatty acids 210mg of which palmitoleic acid (n-7) 120mg, cis-vaccenic acid (n-7) 30mg, oleic acid (n-9) 60mg, polyunsaturated fatty acids 160mg of which linoleic acid (n-6) 90mg, alpha-linoleic acid (n-3) 70mg. Capsule shell:
Modified maize starch, glycerol, gelling agent: carrageenan, acidity regulator: disodium phosphate.

Energy 22.0kJ/5.3kcal, Protein 0mg, Carbohydrates 188mg, Fat 501mg (of which saturates 120mg, monounsaturates 205mg (of which palmitoleic acid 120mg, Cis-vaccenic acid 25mg, oleic acid 60mg), polyunsaturates 155mg (of which linoleic acid 90mg, alpha-linolenic acid 65mg)).

The berry of sea buckthorn has for hundreds of years been valued and used as a source of nutrients. The oil of sea buckthorn berry contains fatty acids of virtually all important series, omega-3,6 ,7 and omega 9 and is exceptionally rich in palmitoleic acid (omega-7), rarely found in the plant kingdom. The oil is also rich in natural antioxidants; tocopherols, tocotrienols, carotenoids and plant sterols.

Antioxidants inhibit harmful oxidation of fatty acids in cell membranes. Plant sterols may be of benefit to cholesterol metabolism. Working synergistically, the nutrients in sea buckthorn oil support general well-being and may help maintain the health and integrity of cell membranes, especially in mucous membranes and skin. Sea Buckthorn oil is an excellent source of omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9 for vegetarians.
