Lanes Olbas Oil is an inhalant decongestant for relief of catarrh, colds and sinuses.

Product Details

Olbas oil, is a mixture of essential pure plant oils for relief of bronchial and nasal congestion and hey fever by inhalation, and for symptomatic relief of muscular pain by application to the skin, Non greasy.

Usage

Olbas oil can be used for adults & children from 3 months old.

Adults and children aged 2 and over: Inhale 2 or 3 drops from tissue to clear painful sinuses and nasal congestion. At night sprinkle 2 or 3 drops onto a tissue tucked inside the pillowcase for all night relief.

Children 3 months to 2 years: 1 drop on a tissue placed out of the child's reach.

As a rub: Massage into the painful area 3 times a day.

Ingredients

Active ingredients:
Cajuput oil 18.5%, clove oil 0.1%, eucalyptus oil 35.45%, juniper berry oil 2.7%, levo menthol 4.1%, methyl salicylate 3.7%, mint oil, partly dementholised 35.45%.

Cautions

Keep out of sight and reach of children. Not suitable for babies under 3 months old. For inhalation or external use on unbroken skin only.

Went through so much of this in the winter when all the colds were about, great to have constantly in the oil burner to cleanse and freshen the room. A really purifying smell.

I do not get colds. I used to in my unhealthy youth, but these day nah. So when I do get one, I am horribly grumpy and bad tempered, made more so by the fact that, however successful I have been in dealing with it during the day, at night it comes up to get me and I am stuffed up, wheezy, can't breathe, can't sleep.
By yesterday I had had two nights of this so was not fit to speak to until my good friend Lily said, Olbas oil.. Yes,of course I knew about Olbas oil but had I thought about it? I dug out my trusty bottle (which expired, I note, in April 2007) and, last night, applied it to nose. Magic! Nose cleared, breathing normal, sleep wafting in I would not say it was the best nights sleep I ever had, I kept losing my Olbas-soaked tissue down the bed but it sure as hell knocked spots off the previous two nights!!
So, may I sing an ode to the wonders of Olbas oil possibly even more wonderful if it had not already been four years out of date! Cheap, harmless and effective.
