The fourth most abundant mineral in the body, sulphur is especially concentrated in the cartilage around joints, the skin, hair & nails. One of Yin Yang’s most popular products, our Joint Cream with MSM, eases tired overworked or uncomfortable muscles and joints, and soothes affected skin.
Yin Yang Joint Cream was formulated to apply to the skin around tired overworked and uncomfortable joints & muscles, in the tradition of the 2000 year old practise of taking sulphur baths (balneotherapy) to ease fatigue and discomfort in muscles and joints.
MSM belongs to a family of compounds that are abundant in the food chains of terrestrial and marine life. It is a sulphur containing nutrient, (sulphur being some 34% by weight), that is the stable end product of a series of compounds that provide sulphur in a bio-available form to some 85% of all living organisms. The fourth most abundant mineral in the human body, making up some 0.8% by weight or 200gms in a 70kg adult, sulphur plays an important role in the integrity of the connective tissues, and in many of the metabolic processes of the body.
Sulphur has been used traditionally in some of its forms (milk of sulphur, flowers of sulphur), also as a topical treatment for a variety of dermatological conditions. It has both mild antifungal and antibacterial activity. Essential Oil of Limes has a long tradition of being used on the skin around tired overworked or uncomfortable joints & muscles. This essential oil, pressed from the peel of the fruit, is thought to have anti-rheumatic, anti-scorbutic, antiseptic, antiviral, bactericidal, and fever reducing properties.
Like sulphur it is also thought to be beneficial on the skin.
Yin Yang Joint Cream contains 9% MSM (3% elemental sulphur) and 0.7% Essential Oil of Limes. The cream is based on an emulsification of wheat germ oil (high in vitamin E and the sulphur bearing amino acid methionine), coconut oil (moisturising and antiseptic function), fermented organic soya protein (rich in amino acids including the sulphur bearing amino acids methionine, cysteine, and cystine), and pure spring water (for hydration).

I have been buying Yin Yang Joint Cream with MSM for years after reading about it in an article in the Daily Mail. Previously, it was known just as MSM cream. I send it to Canada to my brother-in-law who wouldn`t do without it. He used to find walking up stairs a problem as his knees gave him trouble but since using the cream he goes up and down with ease. He cannot get it in Canada but one year he phoned and said that they now had a health store where he lives and they had MSM cream there so I wouldn`t have to go to the trouble of sending it to him any more. It was not Yin Yang but hey it was MSM Cream so how much difference could there be. He soon found out as the other cream had no effect and he was struggling up the stairs once more. The Yin Yang cream does not appear to cure the problem but takes away the symptoms as long as you use it, at least that is what he has found. I have just ordered some for my husband and myself as we are experiencing a little bit of trouble with our hands. A bit of arthritis I think. We are hoping that it will help us as it has my brother-in-law. I will let you know how we get on after a decent trial. We are 79 and 78 years of age.
