High performance Waves proven performance brings out the shine in your dishes and glassware. Never etches dishes, glassware or utensils.

Wave Dishwasher Gel is a non-toxic, pH neutral alternative to conventional dishwasher gels. Earth Friendly is free of the following toxic ingredients found in conventional dishwasher products. 1-Phosphates (encourages algae growth, depleting oxygen). 2-Petroleum derived surfactants (suspected carcinogen and can damage immune, cardiovascular and respiratory systems). 3-Bleach (deadly, corrosive, lung skin and eye irritant). 4-Ammonia (lung, skin and eye irritant). Instead Earth Friendly's Wave Gel uses sodium citrate a biodegradable softening/dispersing agent, biodegradable low foam surfactant, xantham gum and lavender oil. Each 946ml bottle yields 38 washes which makes it very good value per wash.

I feel a bit harsh only giving this 3 stars, as we use it nearly every day and will continue to do so! However, it isn't as effective as any of the more 'chemical' based dishwasher cleaners. We will persist with it, even though I have to re-wash some items, as this is the only dishwasher cleaning additive that my husband isn't allergic to.

The best alternative... - Wed 4th Jan 2012
I'd never used a dishwasher until moving in with my partner...but he refused to give it up, so we had to find a healthy alternative, for my allergies, and for the environment, and this fits the bill on both scores...my other half says it's not as effective as the ordinary chemical stuff (I wouldn't know), but at least I know we're not breathing in 'poisonous' gases everytime we open the door!
