In mediaeval times Geranium was seen as a protective herb. As it says in the old herbal rede: 'snakes will not go where Geranium grow'. It is a light olive coloured oil with a sweet rosy-green scent that has a balancing and harmonising effect.

For people with a sweet tooth, geranium oil can help to curb the cravings for sugar (an addictive drug with harmful side effects) because the smell is so sweet. As part of taste is smell, the sweetness of the oil satisfies at least part of the craving whilst having a balancing effect on the emotions as well.
