The charcoal is made by producers in Namibia, where employment opportunities are limited and where invasive wood and thorn weeds threaten valuable land needed for grazing cattle
Remove cardboard outer before lighting. Never use indoors, in confined spaces, or in prohibited areas.Never place on a surface which is liable to be damaged.Never handle the barbeque while in use- it son becomes very hot. Always keep children and pets away from the barbeque and the barbeque area. Do not refill, the barbeque is single use only. Immediately after you have finished cooking, extinguish completely and allow to go cold before handling or moving. Remember that the area beneath and around your instand barbeque will become extremely hot and will remain so for some time after use. Remember to dispose of your instant barbeque carefully and responsibly.
How to Light:
1. Remove cardboard tray prior to use and dispose of this and and other packaging carefully. Do not remove starter paper from under the grill.
2. Always place your Instant Barbeque on a firm, non flammable, heat resistant surface eg bricks
3.The barbeque has a specially impregnated starter which is positioned between the charcoal and the metal grill. Do not use lighter fluid or other flammable liquid on this barbeque.
4.Drop a lighted match under one corner of the starter paper.
5.Depending on the wind conditions it can take approx 20 minutes for the flames to die down. Do not cook before the charcoal has a coating of ash.Smoking charcoal imparts the distinct barbeque flavour. Shelter from wind if necessary.
6.Occasionally, during the cooking period, agitate the charcoal by tapping the grill tray with a cooking utensil to maintain heat.

I have to say this is a great concept but it didn't quite work... So far I have tried two and they both failed equally. They kind of half cooked the burgers and sausages and I had to finish them in a frying pan, which is an anti-climax, especially after waiting for sooo long to get the thing started... it takes way more than 20 minutes as specified on the pack. So the second time I put in 6 pieces of If You Care firelighters, hoping it would help, because the problem with these disposable barbecues is that there doesn't seem to be enough charcoal, and the pieces are too small, and it doesn't ignite properly. Even if you shake it etc. and follow instructions to the letter, it is very tedious. Even with the firelighters it didn't burn long enough to cook the meat. By the time you have waited for the charcoal to be coated with ashes, most of them are actually off because they are such tiny pieces. The last thing is that it is way too small! I fitted six standard sausages and three normal burgers on it with difficulty, and they completely uncooked an the edges. A bit of a fiasco but if I have missed a trick let me know!Reviewer's Name:
