As someone who cannot tolerate even the tiniest amount of caffeine, this is a lifesaver. No it's not the same, but it's the closest thing I've found to the taste of instant coffee. Now if only there was a decent tasting alternative to chocolate...

I bought Symingtons Instant Dandelion Coffee Compound as it has been talked about in health magazines and on the TV show 'You are what You Eat'. At first I was dubious but after my first cup I was hooked! Its delicious!
Its gentle on the stomach, tastes so gooood, and is an excellent way of cutting caffeine out of your diet.

Symingtons Dandelion Coffee has been totally spoilt by being changed to 'Lactose free'. The taste is now so weak and the coffee fails to dissolve. After drinking it all ends up stuck to the sides of your cup. Please bring back the original or at least both options.

I have been using this dandelion coffee for about 10 years & would have given it a 5* rating but the new formula is awful, sweet and cloying. I certainly won't be buying any more.

Symingtons dandilion coffee - Sun 19th Apr 2009
Myself, family and friends have been buying this dandilion coffee for about 20 years, and its just lovely. But the new version is awful, and ended up being poured down the sink. It just tastes of sugary milky water. Myself, family and friends will NOT be buying the new version. Please bring back the original version. Why mess with something that is successful.

Lactose free version - Tue 28th Apr 2009
I have really enjoyed your dandelion coffee with lactose for years. However after buying my usual large size a few days ago, opened it, (realizing by then it was lactose free), and noticed granules had a rather jaundiced look. It tasted absolutely disgusting! Please, please bring back your original product!

lactose free dandelion compound - Fri 29th May 2009
I bought a large size of the lactose free dandelion compound. The taste is definitely not the same as the original. It is so sickly sweet as to be totally unpalatable.

Symingtons dandelion coffee - Mon 8th Jun 2009
This product before it was altered was a very nice refreshing alternative to coffee. Unfortunately the new formula tastes like dish water, we bought the large size and totally regret this now. The slogan on the side of the package "Same great taste" is frankly not true, bring back the original please as judging by other reviews Symingtons will lose a lot of sales!

Got to agree with all the other comments on the new version - not the same product at all. Bring back the old one.

Lactose free version - Wed 30th Sep 2009
Absolutely agree with other comments, the new version is disgusting it tastes like sweet water. Why can't there be two versions so that those who are not lactose intolerant can buy the one with lactose that tastes great?

The new stuff is disgusting. I have been drinking Symingtons dandelion coffee for years but when they changed the recipe I stopped - it is un- drinkable. Why change a good thing?

BRING BACK NON-LACTOSE-FREE - Mon 11th Jul 2011
Just like the other review, the new "Lactose-Free" tastes terrible, it certainly isn't "the same great taste"! Please bring back the original dandelion coffee with lactose.
