Natural sugar and honey alternative made from apples, grapes and carob that tastes and sweetens just like sugar.
Sweet Freedom is an ideal sugar alternative in a syrup form with 25% fewer calories. Made 100% from fruit. Great Taste Award Gold star winner. Perfect for coffee, tea, porridge, pancakes and healthier cooking and baking. It is gluten free, vegan and low GL (and so is a good choice for diabetics).
Use to sweeten all hot and cold drinks, bake ‘no added sugar’ muffins, cakes, flapjacks, brownies and puddings plus make desserts such as ice cream, cheesecake, mousses, drizzle over cereal and tastes great on toast instead of honey or jam. *When baking maximum temperature 180 degrees C.
Ideal for weight management as has a low GI (Glycaemic Index) and GL (Glycaemic Load) and 25% less calories than sugar plus you can use 25% less. Top down squeezy bottle with drip free cap means really easy to use and no mess.
Both Mild and Rich are both multipurpose syrups but the Mild is best for tea as it’s the most neutral and sugar like, the Rich has a lovely toffee like taste.
RECOMMENDED by 'queen of natural products' Janey Lee Grace, co-presenter Radio 2 with Steve Wright and The Wright Stuff, Channel 5.
Janey says: "This is a Godsend, the kids love it on porridge and we use it for making bread - a wonder product!"‘Tastes as good as sugar’ Daily Mail, Good Health. Also used by Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir.
Usage
Great to replace sugar, can be drizzled, poured and spooned, but in baking keep the temperature to no more than 180 degrees C as cakes will brown faster and stay moist.

New York Cheese Cake - Thu 20th May 2010
New York Cheesecake
A healthier New York style cheesecake made with a delicious gluten free nutty base and Sweet Freedom instead of sugar. This delicious cheesecake recipe is courtesy of Suzie Banks. www.essentiallyhealthyfood.com
serves 8
ready in 180 minutes
ingredients
* 100g Hazelnuts or Almonds, lightly toasted & skins removed
* 50g Hazelnut or Almond Butter
* 25g Sweet Freedom Natural Sweetener (Mild)
* 500g Cream Cheese
* 100g Creme Frache
* 100g Sweet Freedom Natural Syrup (Rich)
* 10g Cornflour
* Finely Grated Zest of a Lemon
* 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
* 2 Medium Free Range Eggs
instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 220C / Fan 200C.
2. Line the sides of a 20cm / 8inch loose bottomed round tin with baking parchment.
3. Blitz the nuts in a food processor until they form fine nibs (if you use the ready chopped nuts these need to be ground into smaller pieces). Add the nut butter and Sweet Freedom and process until the ingredients are all combined. Tip the mixture into the prepared tin and using the back of a fork or spoon to press evenly over the base.
4. Whisk together the cream cheese, creme frache and Sweet Freedom, making sure that there are no lumps of cream cheese in the mixture. Next whisk in the cornflour, lemon zest and vanilla extract. Finally whisk in the eggs.
5. Pour into the tin and then place in the oven. Cook for 5 minutes then turn the temperature down to 110C/Fan 90C and cook for a further 20-25 minutes. The edges should feel firm but the centre will still have a slight wobble.
6. Turn the oven off and leave the cheesecake in the oven with the door open. When it is cool transfer to the fridge and leave to chill overnight.
7. Serve with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, poached rhubarb, sliced peaches or nectarines.

Adios to sugar!! - Wed 21st Jan 2009
Yes this is fantastic! This mild one is really versatile and we just dont have sugar anymore. The kids love it on porridge and cereal (put it on before the milk - yum!). Baking works too, gorgeous gingerbread, fruit cake, and lovely cookies. Very happy we found this. The rich one is real nice too, on pancakes and waffles very popular with the kids. I like that it is natural and low glycemic, keeps the kids calm and stops me getting fat ha ha! Also have one child who is diabetic, he is very happy to have a little sweetness back in his life, never liked giving him anything artificial and there is only so much you can do with apple puree :o)

Raymond Blanc approves Sweet Freedom - Wed 11th Nov 2009
Striaght from the horses mouth ... the Diet Freedom Kitchens.
There we were busily working away on all things Diet Freedom when the phone rings and a lovely lady from Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons (Raymond Blanc's famous restaurant in Oxfordshire) asked if she could set up an account and order Sweet Freedom as Raymond would like to serve at Le Manoir with coffee, teas etc!!! Well ... we didn't have to think about that one too long as you can imagine. They do not want to offer anything artificial to their customers apparently and rather than decant they are going to offer in our 'very practical' bottles too!
And then two weeks later, low and behold more excitement at DF HQ when Raymond's amazing head chef GaryJones, ordered more to use in the kitchen as well ... we are very flattered that they seem to love it as much as we do!

Top, tasty sugar substitute - Mon 21st Mar 2011
This is the best sugar substitute I have come across. I've got a real sweet tooth and haven't found anything that tastes nearly as good as the real thing - until I found Sweet Freedom. It is perfect on my breakfast and in my tea which is helping me cut back drastically on sugar. It's an excellent way to lower calorie intake and it tastes great.

I love the taste of this sweetener and first became aware of it when I first did the diet freedom plan online. Its great in drinks and baking. Some internet article's say that the gi and sugar/diabetic claims are open to interpretation but I have found using it on a low/slow carb diet has enabled me to enjoy it in baking and still remain on my diet and lose weight. My mother is Diabetic and she finds it beneficial compared to sugar and sweeteners.
