Lemon Chilli Olives - Fri 3rd Feb 2012
Put 20-25 pitted green olives in a small bowl. Add 1-2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, the juice and zest of 1/2 lemon, a pinch of dried chilli flakes and ground black pepper. Serve.

These were good and there weren't any gnarly-looking ones like you find in some olive jars. They were mostly very firm and they were all delicious! I had them plain, I had them with bread and hummous, I had them in a martini, and my sons snitched them off my plate and finished them off when I wasn't looking. They were a big hit!

Olive & Anchovy Dressing - Sat 1st Oct 2011
Blend 2 handfulls of pitted green olives with 6 anchovy fillets, 2 cloves of crushed garlic and 2 tbsp each of lemon juice and olive oil. Good with grilled fish or chicken.

Try stuffing halved and deseeded red peppers with crumbled feta, olives and cherry tomatoes, then drizzle with a little olive oil and roast for twenty minutes at 190 degrees C/gas 5.
