Sweetcorn Relish - Fri 10th Feb 2012
Put 4 skinned tomatoes, 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped celery stick, 4 tbsp brown sugar, 4 tbsp malt vinegar, a good pinch of mustard powder and some salt and pepper in a pan and simmer for 15 mins. Blend 2 tsp cornflour with 2 tbsp water and stir into the sauce along with 200 g drained canned sweetcorn. Bring to the boil, stirring occasionally, and boil until thickened. Leave to cool, then serve with burgers.

May be organic, but is tinned in sugary, salted water. Sweetcorn in pure water is 82kCal whereas this one is 116kCal, all down to the sugar.

Just to correct the above reviewer the sweetcorn now does not have any added sugar (it's now 78kCal) although it still is in salty water but probably healthier than it was, as our family try to avoid any products with sugar.
