A good store cupboard staple - nice and thick and filling enough to make a meal for one person.

I had high hopes for this a store cupboard standby but I found it really tasted of the tin, and was also super spicy!

On opening the can I was greeted with.... water.... with about 1/4 can of sludge at the bottom. On transferring to pan to heat through, yes there were maybe about 20 chickpeas in it, and there were tiny red flakes on the top. Even stirring the sludge into the water it was basically water with a few bits in. Tasted very spicy, well, more hot than flavour, enough to make you 'sniffy' and need a drink afterwards. Crumbling about 50g of oatcakes into the bowl improved the texture. I wouldn't buy this again though. Shame, because the description sounded so nice, and I was so pleased to find soup that didn't have forbidden ingredients in it.
