teeth strengthener - Tue 12th May 2009
I believe you can actually feel the effect that this stuff has on your teeth. I tried it and it's a kind of weird sensation. Amazing! It's like sugar and can be used as such without probs on cereal or in drinks, but it is actually good for your toothe enamel. I believe that Xylitol is also made from silver birch trees. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Xylitol is such a life-saver for those of us who can't eat sugar. This has a low glycaemic-index value and is actually good for teeth! It works well added to tea/cereal/etc - also works very well in baking, adding a lighter texture to my wheat-free baking. Tastes nice, no horrible aftertaste.

Amazing - Sat 8th May 2010
I never thought I could live without sugar but thanks to xylitol I can! This is amazing, tastes just like sugar, good for your teeth, suitable for diabetics! You can even bake with it too. The thing that I really love about this is it's 100% natural!

Brilliant Product - Tue 18th Oct 2011
An Absolute Treasure. This is the same sweetener found in chewing gum and is one of the safest sweeteners available - it's actually a sugar alcohol, but it's got no sugar and it can't get you drunk - it's to do with chemistry... It actually inhibits plaque and is good for your teeth and bones. And it is just as sweet as sugar, but low calorie and very nice, no after taste. It's got a cooling effect in the mouth, so goes great in making chocolate mint ice cream if you make yours yourself.
I would recommend this to those trying to lose weight and watch their blood sugar.

This is an absolutely brilliant product, a sugar substitute that's actually good for you! Although the advice is to use as sugar, I find it to be a bit sweeter so baking with it requires a little experimentation but with excellent results. I also love heating up some frozen blueberries with xylitol to make a quick compote to have with yoghurt.

From everything I've read up on this appears to be the safest and most natural sweetener available. Has no nasty bitter after-taste, very versatile. Use in everyday drinks and in baking.
