This bread is baked in a dedicated gluten free bakery using traditional artisan skills, which include freshly grinding the grains just before baking to create loaves packed with the wholegrain goodness needed as part of a healthy diet.

Ingredients

Buckwheat natural sourdough (wholegrain buckwheat flour, water, corn flour, pea flour, honey), wholegrain millet flour (18%), water, wholegrain corn flour, wholegrain buckwheat flour, linseed, sunflower oil, apple bran, sea salt, honey.

Cautions

Unfortunately I didn't really like this bread, it's bitter and have a too intense millet taste....

Millet is such a great grain, but it only makes up 18% of this bread so I don't really know why Biona have called it millet bread when it's really buckwheat bread! This is reflected in the taste, which not everyone is too keen on. I'm glad I tried this, but I don't think I would go for it again in light of this.

I was really excited when I found this bread. I can't have yeast or lactose, so it was really good to find something with neither of these things. Unfortunately it was a huge let down. I tried it raw first and it was vile. The texture and taste were both disgusting. Toasted it was slightly better, but definitely wont be trying again. I'm now hunting for my own bread recipe to make from scratch.
