Product Details

Made using organically grown ingredients and containing no artificial additives, Kallo Organic Garlic and Herb stock cubes provide the perfect way to enhance the natural flavours of your home prepared dishes.

Usage

Dissolve one Kallo Organic Garlic and Herb stock cube in 500ml of boiling water.

Ingredients

Sea salt, vegetable fat, corn starch, yeast extract, garlic powder 7%, herbs 1% (lovage, celery, parsley, rosemary, thyme), spices (turmeric, mace, pepper), natural flavouring.

Nutritional Information

Per 100ml:
Energy 28kJ/7kcal, Protein 0.2g, Carbohydrate 0.5g, (of which sugars trace), Fat 0.4g, (of which saturates 0.2g), Fibre trace, Sodium 0.4g.

Recipe

Vegetable chowder (serves 4)

Ingredients
1 medium onion, sliced
1 red pepper, sliced
2 table spoons of olive oil
450g of potatoes, peeled and thickly sliced
375g american style creamed sweetcorn
500ml of kallo organic garlic and herb stock

Method
1. Heat the oil andthen add the onion and pepper, softening them for 5 minutes.
2. Add the potatoes, creamed sweetcorn and kallo stock.
3. Stir and simmer for 15 minutes before serving.

Savoury pilau white rice (serves 2)

Method
1. Cover 200g of long grain white rice with 500ml of kallo garlic and onion stock.
2. Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes.
3. Turn off the heat, cover and allow to stand for 5 minutes.

Savoury pilu brown rice (serves 2)

Method
1. Dissolve one garlic and herb stock cube in 750ml of boiling water.
2. Cover 200g of long grain brown rice with the stock and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
3. Turn off the heat, cover and allow to stand for 10 minutes.
