Kallo organic cubes make a delicious base for easy soups, sauces, rice and pasta dishes. Each cube contains a balanced level of salt, eliminating the need for further seasoning.

Cooking Instructions

Dissolve one stock cube in 500ml boiling water.

Ingredients

Sea salt, vegetable oil, yeast extract, maize starch, roasted onion 9%, onion 6%, burnt sugar, pepper, turmeric, parsley, lovage, natural flavouring, rosemary, thyme.

Recipe

Home prepared gravy (serves 4)

Ingredients
1 medium onion, sliced
2 table spoons of olive oil
1 tea spoon of mustard
4 level tea spoons of cornflour
50ml of red wine
500ml of kallo french onion stock
A knob of butter
Black pepper

Method
1. Brown the onion in the olive oil for 6 minutes.
2. Stir in the mustard, corn flour and red wine.
3. Gradually add the french onion stock, stir and simmer to thicken.
4. Finish with a knob of butter and a twist of black pepper.

French onion soup (serves 2)

Ingredients
2 medium onions, sliced
3 tea spoons of olive oil
500ml of kallo french onion stock
2 slices of french bread
Grated cheese
Parsley

Method
1. Brown the 2 onions in the olive oil for 6 minutes.
2. Add 500ml of kallo french onion stock, stir and simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Toast 2 slices of french bread, cover with grated cheese and grill.
4. Float the toast in the soup and scatter with parsley before serving.
