Glazed Winter Veg - Thu 9th Feb 2012
Slice 125 g each of carrots, parsnips, turnips and leeks into julienne strips. Place the first 3 of these in a saucepan with 300 ml stock, 25 g butter and 2 tbsp honey and cook for 2-3 mins. Add the leek and cook for 1 min more and simmer until the stock has reduced and the vegetables are tender.

Lovely, natural stock cubes. The next best thing if you don't have time to make your own stock.

Perfect way to a coronary - Fri 17th May 2013
These stock cubes are a joke. Full of salt. Supposedly organic. Who cares? In summary, flavourless and salty junk. Stewing your underpants would produce a nicer stock, with a lot less salt!

Tips
Simple Soup - Sun 8th Apr 2012
Try cooking up a simple soup by roasting chunks of pumpkin, onion, garlic and any other root veg in a little oil until brown. Then just whizz it up in a liquidiser with vegetable stock until smooth. Add a swirl of crème fraîche to serve.
