This is the only 'convenient' jelly I would give my two sons. It's really easy to prepare and sets very quickly. It also doesn't have any animal products, so great for vegetarians.

I tried this (and the other 3 flavours) jelly when I first went vegan and I was glad that they were just as easy to make as regular jelly but unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the taste. It was very bland and didn't really taste of anything except a slight sweetness and since I was newly vegan the texture didn't make up for it since it was different to regular jelly. However, years later I'm older and wiser i.e. I learned how to actually prepare food and I recently had these again. They haven't changed much from what I can remember but now I can appreciate the difference in texture and wouldn't like it if it had that rubbery/plastic sensation that regular jelly has. Also, this actually makes a great 'base' jelly for adding other ingredients to, to make delicious and fun looking jellies. I've added whole fruit to it, fruit syrups and juice - all of which have tastes great.
