Cooking Instructions

Mix, make and enjoy!

Preheat oven to 175°C/350°F/gas mark 4.

Mix contents of the pack with 200g of soft butter and 4 eggs.

Blend with a mixer or wooden spoon until smooth.

Pour into a pre-greased medium size tin (approximately 20cm diameter for a round tin or 25cm x 10cm for a rectangular tin).

Bake for 50-60 minutes or test until skewer comes out clean.

It is great to have a selection of quick to make gluten free cake mixes around. This Hale and Hearty Classic Chocolate cake mix is really convenient to make quickly and with no fuss. It bakes beautifully and makes a decent family sized cake. It is light but can be slightly dry, so best to bear that in mind when you are thinking what to top it with. The chocolate flavour is not overbearing and really is a mild chocolate. I find it works really well with a mocha topping. A definate to keep in the cupboard for gluten free emergencies.
