Brussel Sprouts with Chestnuts - Thu 8th Dec 2011
Boil 1 kg trimmed Brussels sprouts until tender and drain. Carefully mix in 50 g butter, 75 g toasted flaked almonds and 200 g Brookerpacks chestnuts. Season well and, if necessary, warm on the hob gently before serving.

Moist, sweet, beautifuly nutty ans satisfying. A luscious snack, said to be good for the kidneys too.
Makes a wonderful soup and a very rich stuffing.
