Flax powder can be taken with breakfast cereal, yoghurt, fruit juices or sprinkled over salads, soups and vegetables or added to your favourite bread or cake recipe. Sprouted flax powder is unlike any flax product available on the market today. Using a unique patented process the flax is grown just long enough to release the natural nutritional components that lie dormant in the seed. It is then dried and powdered using an exclusive system. All of the health benifited are not preserved, but are actually increased!
Recommended Dosage
Take one heaped tablespoon (approx.10g) of flax powder each day. It is important that flax powder be taken with sufficient liquid - at least ¼ (150ml) to each tablespoon of powder.

Flax and Almond Bread - Mon 18th Jan 2010
Flax is so good for us as it is packed with omega 3. This recipe is
packed with goodness. Not suitable for vegans though sorry.
Ingredients:
175g ground almonds
100g arrowroot powder
4 tablespoons flaxseed powder
½ teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
4 eggs
1 teaspoon agave nectar
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1. In a medium bowl, combine the ground almonds, arrowroot, flax
powder, salt and bicarbonate of soda.
2. In a larger bowl, beat eggs for 3-5 minutes until frothy.
3. Stir agave and vinegar into eggs.
4. Mix dry ingredients into wet.
5. Pour mixture into a greased medium sized loaf tin.
6. Bake at 180 C or Gas mark 4 for 30-35 minutes. Test to see if it is
ready by inserting a knife to see if it comes out clean.
7. Glaze the bread with some more agave nectar while it is still warm.

sprouted flax seed powder - Sun 18th Apr 2010
Flax is rich in omega oils - this is a fantastic vegan way to obtain the nutrient as the pre sprouting makes it so much easier to digest. I used this to make some flax crackers - they tasted brilliant. Highly recommended

Sprouted flaw powder review - Mon 24th May 2010
Really liked this product, I've been using it to make crackers by mixing the powder with sunflower spread and adding items to taste such as sun dried tomatoes, then spread thinly on a baking tray and put in the oven to dry out, really nice. Tried to make a thicker base for a pizza, but it didn't work as well. The smell takes a little getting used to, but otherwise I recommend this product, and a great way to get some extra protein.
