Cooking Instructions

Yeast preparation:
50ml Boiling water
1tsp sugar
100ml Cold water
1 tbs Original Dry Yeast

1. For best results mix the boiling water and sugar in a large mug.
2. Stir in the cold water.
3. Add the yeast and mix well.
4. Cover and leave in a warm place for 10/15 minutes.
5. Stir the frothing yeast and use as per your recipe.

Yeast (saccharomyces cerevisiae)

Recipe

Real Bread
1 Yeast preparation
75ml Boiling water
½tsp Salt
125ml Cold water if making white bread
150ml or Cold water if making wholemeal bread
500g Strong white or Strong wholemeal bread flour
1tbs Oil.

Oven 220°C/425°F/ Gas 8
1. Oil a 1kg/2lb bread tin.
2. Mix 75ml boiling water and salt in a pint jug.
3. Stir in the correct amount of cold water for the flour. 5. Add the prepared yeast mix and the jug of warm water.
6. Mix together until rough and craggy.
7. Sprinkle over the oil
8. Knead into a dough adding a little extra flour if too wet.
9. Continue kneading for a few minutes.
10. Cover the dough and leave in a warm place for 1 hour.
11. Knead the dough again then put in into the oiled tin.
12. Cover and leave to rise for 25 minutes.
13. bake in a preheated oven for 35/40 minutes.
