I've never bought gluten free biscuits before, so it's difficult for me to compare these, though I've made pastry and cakes with rice/gluten free flour, so I know how 'powdery' it can be compared with wheat flour ...what I was surprised by was just how sweet these biscuits are, and combined with the flour I found them very cloying and dry...I'm afraid even my husband didn't like them, and he's got a sweeter tooth than me....perhaps they're lower fat, which adds to the effect ?

These are absolutely lovely, do try them! A fantastic treat, fairly low sugar actually compared to most biscuits, and they taste like normal shortbread. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
