No vegan Mexican meal is complete without a dollop of this sour cream. It offsets the spiciness perfectly. I love making Tacos following the recipe on the packaging, but using frozen veggie mince, salsa , plenty of lettuce and tomatoes and of course a topping of Tofutti. Delicious.

Strawberries Supreme - Sat 21st May 2011
Mix one pot of Toffutti sour cream with a teaspoon of lemon juice, a teaspoon of finely grated lemon zest, and 50g icing sugar (adjusting lemon/sugar to taste). Spoon over strawberries.

This is a brilliant substitute for sour cream - it has a great texture and a nice sharp, fresh taste. Perfect on baked potatoes with a little smoked paprika.

This is a great substitution for the normal sour cream. It tastes like a nice cream cheese, but when you use it for cooking, you hardly can tell the difference. We love it!

Possible GMO ? - Sun 15th Apr 2012
This is great stuff, tastes fantastic - but I have just looked at the ingredients and did a bit of research to find out whether they are GMO free.

Their website FAQ states:

Does Tofutti use non-GMO soy protein?
All of our products use non-GMO soy protein. In addition, if available, we use other non-GMO ingredients, such as our tofu powder and maltodextrin.

- This seems to imply their tofu powder is GMO unless they can find non-GMO. Sadly I won't be buying it any longer.
