Product Details

Daikon raddish is common in Japanese cooking, it is a giant white radish sometimes called Mooli. It is an extremely versatile food and one of the essential vegetables in the Japanese diet.

Serving Suggestion

Daikon's crisp texture and sharp, tangy flavour make them a perfect accompaniment with brown rice, noodles, vegetables and miso soup. Rinse off the bran, slice & serve as a delicous condiment or as a tasty snack.

Pickled daikon is well on its way to become one of my favourite condiments.
It tastes so gorgeous that you will want to add it to anything savoury. I like it with pan fried mochi, pulses, white fish, grains...
It's a real medicine food as it dissolves fat and mucus accumulations in the body, and is a great thing to always have in your cupboard for brightening up any dish.
It is very salty, so you only need a bit at a time.
