Redwood Soya Free Cheezly - Thu 11th Nov 2010
I bought this a little tentatively, hoping at least one of my Cows' Milk protein allergic children would eat it. Well, they're turning into little dairy-free mice!!! They can't get enough of it, it's in their lunchtime sandwiches, I use it in cooking (it melts very well on top of lasagne) and even my daughter who can eat dairy, likes it. Added bonus is that it's soya free too, considering the amount of soya products my family eat, it's nice to have something alternative without soya. Brilliant product.

This is fantastic!! Great for cheese sauce, grates well for sandwiches and actually tastes like cheese! A winner!

Cheese!! - Fri 2nd Sep 2011
My son was recently advised that he should not eat dairy, soya or wheat products. As a cheese fan this was a serious blow. We tried the Redwood Soya Free Cheddar Cheezly and I cooked it and used it as I would with his usual foods. Whilst it does not properly 'melt'; nevertheless the taste is fab and he loves it!!!

Awful - Thu 25th Oct 2012
I have to admit I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this, my son has a dairy allergy so I'm trying to find a cheese alternative. Unfortunately he wasn't impressed and spat it out immediately. I felt the texture was awful, very gritty/powdery and the flavour was disgusting, I couldn't even bring myself to swallow it! I definitely won't be buying this again.

Does not taste like cheese, tasted like old fat. Waste of money not edible at all.

different tastes... - Fri 1st Mar 2013
My daughter has always been allergic to dairy, and now to soya. She has never had dairy cheese and loves this cooked and uncooked. My other children and I wouldn't eat it uncooked as it's nothing like dairy cheese, but it melts and tastes fine cooked, and it means we can have pizza night! My advice is don't expect it to be like cheese, try using it in cooking, and be open to everyone having different tastes - your kids might surprise you!
