Although the Redwood Mozzarella Cheezly Blocks do melt, it does not spread whilst melting so youu just get a little block of melted cheese. When making a pizza I found it was hard to cover the whole pizza without making the cheese too thick as you cannot grate or slice the cheese very finely. If the cheese came in thin square slices like burger cheese then it would work very well or if it came grated it would be perfect.
Apart from that it really is perfect, it tastes really nice.

perfect on pizza or toast - Fri 11th Feb 2011
Perfect on pizza - chop into little blocks, and sprinkle over pizza, just like they do at Pizza Express, ideally with a drizzly of olive oil over the pizza to make it authentic. If you like your cheese more spread out, then try the slices they also sell.
Yum. The other varieties of super melting Cheezly are all nice on pizza, lasagne and toast too.

Cheezly - Sun 24th Jul 2011
Fantastic on home-made pizza. I don't miss cheese with being vegan but I did on pizza. This REALLY is worth buying just for that reason alone! I must say it's best melted and wouldn't recommend it 'dry' as it really doesn't have the taste or texture that I can remember of cheese until melted. :)

Melts really well. Great for non-dairy pizzas, paninis, the list goes on. My toddler discovered she likes this cold as part of a snack too.

Cheezly and Cranberry Crostini - Tue 15th Nov 2011
Cut a small baguette into 8 slices and toast one side lightly. Spread untoasted sides with 4 tbsp (60 ml) good quality cranberry sauce and top with pieces of super-melting mozzarella cheezly (cut to size). Sprinkle with sesame seeds and grill lightly until cheezly has started to melt and sesame seeds turn golden.

This cheese is amazing on pizza and in toasted sandwiches. It's also one of the cheapest!

Dissapointed - Fri 20th Jan 2012
Disappointed. I really wanted to like this. When I opened the pack it smelt like playdo. I thought that can't be good to smell of chemical playdo, hopefully it probably will cook out on my pizza. But no it still smelt like playdo. I ate some and it was to be honest weird testing, not cheesy not plasticy, to be honest I don't know how you would describe it other than horrible. It felt like cheese in the mouth and melted. But it stunk of playdo, tasted funky, and kind of gave me tummy ache too. Like you know you should not have just eat that. I am really disappointed as reviews made it out to be great. I don't know whether to try other vegan cheese now or to just give up on the idea of pizza with cheese on. Little sad.

Valid point! Are there any vegan cheese users out there who have suggestions regarding vegan cheese on pizza?
