This sounds to be an unapologetic 'processed food' in my opinion. Certainly the list of ingredients had me reaching for the chemotherapy. I'd avoid it like the plague if I were you.

Really good value, texture not like meat which is a good thing as I'm vegan! But a tasty addition to sandwiches, toasties etc.

I've tried most of the Cheatin' sliced 'meat' range now, and this and the sage and onion are the faves I think.
I can't remember what ham tastes like anymore, but this seems to ring bells, it's pink, tender, a little chewy, quite salty and has a good flavour that makes a crackin' croque monsieur with some melty cheese or uncheese sandwich spread! (check out 'The Uncheese Cookbook' for some cracking uncheese sandwich fillers, you'll be able to get all the ingredients from Goodness Direct too.
I find in cooking that the flavour of Cheatin' Ham can disappear into the food around it, so I've found it's best to add at the end rather than during cooking.
It's fantastic for quick and easy sandwiches (especially handy if there are omnivore children around having ham sandwiches!), to put into recipes that you've missed, like quiche lorraine (do a gorgeous tofu quiche for vegans), pasta, croque monsieur, toasties, potato pasties or indeed try out new ones.
If you like this, might be worth looking at taifun smoked tofu too, that's fantastic for all the same things
