A rich, dark and sticky sauce with a blend of soy sauce, honey and Chinese five spice.

Ingredients

Ingredients: Water, Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Sugar, Chinese Rice Vinegar, Tomato Purée, Soya Bean Paste (5%)(Water, Soybean, Rice, Salt), Dark Soy Sauce (5%)( Water, Salt, Sugar, Malt Extract, Natural Caramel, Yeast Extract, Soya Beans, Wheat), Vegetable Oil, Modified Maize Starch, Ginger Purée, Garlic Purée, Honey, Chinese Five Spice, Colour: Plain Caramel; White Pepper, Onion Powder.

Recipe

Sticky Char Siu Pork Ribs
serves 3-4

800g - 1kg Pork Ribs, 1 jar Blue Dragon Char Siu Sticky Sauce.

1. Place the ribs in a large pan of water, bring to the boil and simmer for 40 minutes.
2. Drain the ribs and place in a resealable freezer bag, pour over the jar of sauce and leave to marinade for at least one hour. For a deeper flavour, marinade meat with the sauce and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
3. Place the ribs and sauce on a baking tray and cook at 200°C for approx 20 minutes or until dark and sticky.
Ensure piping hot and serve immediately.
