Perfect for Moroccan tagines and salads. A soft skinned fruit with a sharp zesty flavour.

Product Details

Al'Fez is a range of foods based on and inspired by the cuisines of North Africa and the Middle East; or more concisely: Moroccan and Lebanese foods.

Serving Suggestion

Add presevered lemons to your tagines or stews. Also delicious in salads, marinades, sauces and dressings. Alternatively, add to couscous or rice dishes; even stuffing.

Cooking Instructions

Wash lemon to be used in cold water. Dice and use skin only or skin and flesh as required.

Recipe

Falafel Pitta with Chunky Salad:

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 10 minutes
Serves: 6
Vegetarian

Ingredients:
1 x Bottle of Al’Fez Tahini
1 x Al’Fez Falafel
6 x pittas
3 x ripe tomatoes
½ x cucumber
½ x iceberg lettuce
½ x red chilli
1 x fresh bunch of mint
1 x Al’Fez Preserved Lemon
1 x fresh lemon
300ml x vegetable oil to cook

Method:
Preheat Grill to high. Slice tomatoes and cucumber in to chunky bite size pieces. Place tahini, finely sliced chilli and preserved lemon into bowl and mix well. Make Falafel as instructed on the pack. Place pittas under grill, and cook for 1 minutes each side. Fill cooked pitta with cooked falafel, shreds of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and Tahini dressing. Garnish with chopped mint and fresh lemon juice.

Serving Suggestion: With potato wedges and Al’Fez Tabouleh.
