Humous - Sat 9th Oct 2010
It's not easy (probably impossible) to make a good long-life humous, so I don't have any expectations that this will taste like the freshly-prepared article I would buy refrigerated from the deli (or freshly made that morning if I was travelling in the Middle East). So given this, Al'Fez have done a good job of creating a humous in a jar that you can crack open when you really can't be bothered to get to the shops for the fresh stuff. It is quite acidic, so I would recommend using it somewhat sparingly, rather than in big scoops, as I would normally have with my pitta bread. Spread somewhat sparingly in some pitta bread filled with fresh chopped salad and Al Fez' wonderful falafel mix, this would still make a good Middle Eastern-themed dinner. Yum.
