Wonderful and oh so delicious. I add a spoonful to almost everything I cook (from curries to risottos!). Mixed with melted chocolate it makes a great cupcake topping. Also use it on toast, with jam on top. I do not like peanut butter, but love all the other nut butters.

Delcious! Amazing! Sensational! I cannot believe that hazelnut butter is not more widely known. Simply add a teaspoon to yoghurt for an amazing nut yoghurt (with a little natural sweetener). Or make an absolutely delicious drink with hazelnut milk (or soy milk, or coconut milk etc). Or make cookies with a strong, natural hazelnut flavour. - Or, my current favourite - add some cocoa, a little coconut butter (sometimes called creamed coconut). Sweeten to taste. Pop the paste in ice cube trays then in to the fridge. A few hours later, divine Praline Chocolates.
Actually I am experimenting at the moment with various forms of home made raw chocolates and pralines/ganache. My golden rule is that I know I won't make something if takes more than a few simple steps and about five minutes. And the outcome had better be delicious.
For all of this Hazelnut butter is OUTSTANDING. The taste is FAR superior to almond butter or cashew butter (which are relatively bland by comparison). And, for most purposes much healthier than peanut butter (peanuts being an odd type of legume with various proteins causing allergies - not just the obvious peanut allergy).
Hazelnuts are packed with rich, intense flavour. A natural roasted, sweeteness that goes very well with chocolate (as chocolatiers of the world know), as well as all dairy (yoghurt, milk) and freezes well (hazelnut icecream) plus, of course, a great spread, esp if mixed with a bit of cocoa and sweetener . The last of these, gives you a raw, natural Nutella, with half the sugar, twice the flavour, and none of the rotten fats found in nutella. Personally, this stuff is indespensible in my pantry - and knocks the socks off all other nut butters.
Happy munching.
