Barbecue Sauce - Mon 8th Aug 2011
Fry 1 medium chopped onion in 25 g butter/margarine until soft. Add 300 ml cider, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp sweet chutney, 1 tbsp tomato puree, 1 tbsp soft brown sugar, a pinch of mustard powder and some salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes. Blend 1 tsp arrowroot with a little cold water, add to the sauce and continue cooking for a further 1-2 minutes until clear. Serve in a sauce boat as a gravy alternative. Good with lamb/pork chops.

Sardine Supper - Tue 17th Jan 2012
Drain a small can of sardines and mash with a dash of Worcestershire sauce and a teaspoon of tomato ketchup. Pile onto some toast and grate over a sprinkling of mature Cheddar. Put under a hot grill until melted and serve piping.

Brilliant to find a vegan version - livens all sorts of things up in just the way regular Worcestershire sauce does and nobody is any the wiser (except me!).

Saucy Corn Cobs - Tue 31st Jan 2012
Soften 75 g butter in the microwave on high power for 30 secs, then blend in 3 tbsp tomato ketchup, 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce and 1 tsp Dijon mustard. Place 4 corn cobs on a piece of greaseproof paper and spread with the butter mixture. Wrap the cobs in the paper, and place in a large dish in a single layer. Cook on high power until tender - about 12 mins if fresh or 15 mins if frozen, turn halfway through cooking. Serve the corn with the buttery juices poured over.

Great product and just as good as any non vegan competitor. Used in many recipes and very pleased with it. It will be a store cupboard must from now on.
