Product Details

Billington's natural molasses sugar is carefully produced to lock in rather then refine out the natural molasses of the sugar cane. It is this difference which gives Billington's sugar it's unique richness, depth of flavour and natural colour.

Serving Suggestion

A beautifully rich dark sugar, superb in rich Christmas cakes and puddings as well as dark chocolate cakes and sticky BBQ sauce.

Other Information

Store in an air tight container. In certain weather conditions this natural sugar may harden. This is not a sign of deterioration. Just place the sugar in a basin and cover with a damp cloth. Leave overnight and the moistness will return.

I use this in my coffee, and it adds an incredibly delicious and full flavour! I am sure it would improve the taste of all kinds of baked goods and perhaps even to beer-making:-)

Beautiful for any baking although it comes out in big sticky chunks so I usually break them down in a suribachi to ensure harmoneous results!

I love this molasses sugar, it comes as a block but is actually very soft and breaks/crumbles very easily to the touch. Its sweetness is subtle yet warm and leaves a lingering 'mmm' feeling on the tongue, its not overpowering and has a lovely enticing scent. I use this tea and porridge.

This is so nice in porridge, so much more than a sweetener, it adds a delicious, lingering flavour. Also great for fruit loaves, it gives that same depth of flavour.
