Orgran have not compromised on flavour or texture in this extremely versatile cake mix pack. The result is a moist and delicious sponge cake as made from the pack, but this is a mix you can add flavours and ingredients to in order to make your favourite flavour. A recommended cake mix for those following any 'free from' diet and vegans.

Ingredients

Raw sugar, rice flour, maize starch, potato starch, maize flour, dextrose from maize, raising agents: sodium bicarbonate, monocalcium phosphate, monoglycerides from vegetable, salt, natural vanilla flavour 0.4%, vegetable gums: carbozymethylcellulose, carrageenana, guar gum.

Per 100g:
Energy 534kJ/126kcal, Protein 0.8g, Carbohydrates 26.3g (of which sugars 12.9g), Fat 1.6g (of which saturates 0.3g), Dietary Fibre 0.8g, Sodium 0.1g.

Other Information

Pack provides two recipes - one for use with eggs and a second vegan/egg free alternative.

I have been searching for an excellent tasting vanilla cake mix. I have tried every gluten free vanilla cake mix that is available on the market. I hated them all! But, the most amazing gluten free vanilla cake mix is by Orgran. It is excellent! The best ever! Words can not describe this amazing cake mix. Even my kids, mother and husband loved it and all of them said that it is better than the ones made from wheat flour. They could not tell the difference. The only difference is that it is better than any commerical cake mix. You've got to try it! The packaging isn't pretty and this is why I tried the others first. Had I ignored the packaging and tried Orgran's first then I would have never wasted my money on the other gluten free brands! My only suggestion to Orgran is to change their packaging design. I could design it for them!
