Tamari glazed sunflower seeds - Mon 18th Oct 2010
Toast the seeds over a medium heat, stirring them constantly until they are golden brown and smell very delicious.
Then, pour some tamari soy sauce over them and stir until all seeds are glazed.
This makes a very nice, nutritious snack, and is also amazing sprinkled on your porridge (for those who like it savoury!)

Good quality seeds - Sat 12th Mar 2011
Great price and great quality as they actually sprout when soaked which not many sunflower seeds do! Lovely base for raw nut cheeses and raw cheddar sauce.

Good quality, good price, though found some shells still half on - be cautious if you have younger children.

Tips
Substitute for dairy products - Thu 26th May 2011
I have successfully made milk and cream with these sunflower seeds just by toasting them gently and blending them to a smooth consistency with some water -adjust quantity depending on whether you want some cream or milk. It makes a very reliable base for white or "cheesy" sauces, with pasta, veggies, in bakes, etc.
If necessary, the mixture can be thickened with kuzu starch or arrowroot powder.
