Organic short grain rice, pudding rice or sticky rice (as this rice can be called) is most often chosen for Asian and Oriental recipes because it sticks together when cooked and is easier to eat with chopsticks! It's also the best choice for rice pudding and molded salads.

Other Information
According to one supplier of organic brown rice " One thing to look for when shopping for good quality brown rice is the presence of some green grains. The green color indicates the presence of natural chlorophyll, a desirable nutrient; rice kernels with chlorophyll come from the bottom of a stalk, where they mature more slowly than kernels at the top. Brown rice without any green means it was gassed to eliminate the chlorophyll."

Brown Rice - Sat 25th Sep 2010
I eat some almost everyday! It is so tasty, and sticky enough for making rice balls, sushi, and rice puddings... it is so great to have this BROWN rice that lends itself to these old favourites!

eat brown not white! - Sun 7th Nov 2010
Brown rice has sooo much goodness in it - white on the other hand has been completely stripped of all its goodness and is just another 'white' food. This short grain rice is easy to cook. Soak one cup overnight in water. Rinse the rice, then add 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil on hob, then put lid on and cook for 50 mins on low. Works every time. I like to add olive oil and sea salt and eat it just like that!
