Product Details

Pine nuts are not really nuts at all but the edible seeds of the pine tree from the Pinaceae family. The Stone Pine is the most common source of these large tasty seeds. Pine nuts are tasty as they are but the nutty taste is enhanced by roasting or lightly toasting. Pine nuts are an excellent source of protein.

Serving Suggestion

Can be eaten as they are or used in cooking. Pine Kernals are excellent in Middle Eastern dishes. Ues in sweet'n sour sauces, rice stuffings & salads. Try lightly frying the pinenuts in a dry frying pan to toast them. They are delicious warm with mushrooms, or lightly toasted and sprinkled over a salad.

Cooking Instructions

To toast: Sprinkle onto a baking tray in a 350 degree F. oven for about 10 minutes. Shake or toss half way through.
