Fruit sugar (a white bloom) is a natural result of storage. It is harmless and does not affect fruit quality. Wash off in warm water if preferred.

Recipe

Fig fruit salad
Soak figs in fruit juice. Slice and add to chopped melon and oranges. Sprinkle with ginger.

I wasn't sure about buying a whole 3kg bag of figs, having so often bought figs from elsewhere and found them either really hard and dry, or so horribly soggy that I couldn't bear to eat them. These figs are the best ever, just the right dryness, no hint of sog! Definitely buying these again .......... and again!

These are lovely extra sweet yellow figs, they do crystallise easily but that's natural. They're not too dry and great as a sweet desert treat.
