How do I know it's organic?

"Soil Association certification ensures produce is grown with integrity," Jamie Oliver.

Food and drink can only legally be labelled as organic if the farms and companies producing it have met strict standards, passing a thorough annual inspection by an independent certification company licensed by the government.

The Soil Association, a registered charity, developed the world's first organic standards over 30 years ago and today certifies over 70 per cent of the organic food sold in the UK.

No Genetically Modified (GM) foods can be labelled as organic, so you know you are GM free if you stick to foods with the organic symbol.
